About the Network

The UK Pharmacogenetics & Stratified Medicine Network (UKPGx) was set up in 2010 by chair Professor Sir Munir Pirmohamed. Its aim is to develop research collaborations, between academics, clinicians, industry, and regulatory sectors. The aim of these partnerships is to promote the use of stratified/personalised medicine in the clinic, to offer patients the most appropriate and safe drug, at the optimal dose, at the start of their treatment. Our website is a valuable resource providing a one-stop-shop for information on how the field is progressing.

As of August 2023, the UKPGx Network and all its activities are led by the British Pharmacological Society.
